Ok but not great - Localization Expert CSOFT International Employee Review

Pros

Great colleagues, very nice office location, opportunity to get specialised in telecom/internet localization

Cons

Management does not inspire. Unreasonable demands are made by some clients (possibly due to unclear and unrealistic goals agreed to by management at the time of the client acceptance procedure). Career opportunities are very limited, also due to the fact that management fails to see the potential in people. Good people announce they want to leave the company but management does not supply an alternative to keep the employee content and at work in the company, which would benefit the company's success and progress.

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your time with fellow CSOFTers within our office surroundings and that you have gained knowledge about the localization industry. We appreciate your point about upper management and your constructive advice to our management, and we are sorry to hear that you had negative experiences with our management. At CSOFT, many managers are still in a learning process and strive to set fair expectations of each employee and we appreciate the efforts of all of our employees. We thank you again for your honest comments.

Pros

Outside of "emergencies", I had decent work-life balance as a remote employee. Immediate team members were great.

Cons

Other reviews will say the same - upper management is wild. I had a decent time at this company only so long as I fell under the radar, but you'll have to interact eventually. Leadership plays favorites. There are a few employees who have been there for ages. Anyone can come under fire at any time, and if you're not a favorite you might be "laid off."
