Pros

Interesting work Good colleagues Everyone is willing to take on challenges Colleagues have integrity about their work Department is growing and changing Empathetic middle managers Fantastic learning experiences

Cons

Company has been undergoing an identity crisis since its inception (it seems) Upper management suffers from complex about needing to please all stakeholders (clients, staff, CEOs, etc) at once (and pleasing no one) Impostor syndrome from interns to CEO Lip service is paid to the importance of culture and job satisfaction, but rarely backed up with action (i.e. better insurance, flexible working hours)

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoy your time with fellow CSOFTers and have experienced the dynamic and exciting development of our Translation and Global Communications departments. We appreciate your point about upper management and hope that all our foreign employees remain culturally sensitive to the management style that is at stake in a Chinese company like CSOFT. At CSOFT, our managers strive to provide realistic deadlines from clients and to set fair expectations of each employee and we appreciate the efforts of all of our employees. At the same time, CSOFT also aims at providing high quality client service which is a must to keep the business running in a competitive industry. We thank you again for your honest comments.

Pros

Outside of "emergencies", I had decent work-life balance as a remote employee. Immediate team members were great.

Cons

Other reviews will say the same - upper management is wild. I had a decent time at this company only so long as I fell under the radar, but you'll have to interact eventually. Leadership plays favorites. There are a few employees who have been there for ages. Anyone can come under fire at any time, and if you're not a favorite you might be "laid off."
