Pros

The work can be varied, challenging, and interesting. Clients are some of the best-known companies in China. There are many good chances to use Chinese professionally. Work environment is pretty relaxed, and the Kerry Center office is definitely a punch above one's weight. Being part of a young team and department was a double-edged sword, but the good side of doing things the long and hard way was that I was more involved in the process and learned a lot more from it.

Cons

In my department, at least, there was a Peter Pan culture where anything is possible, everything is magical, lost boys are welcome and made to feel part of something special. Once you've figured out what you want to be when you grow up, however, it's probably time to move on.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed getting involved and hands-on experience in your specific department. We appreciate your honest points about your department too, which is indeed characterized by a young team of expats due to requirements regarding language skills from the China-based clients. We also appreciate your point about timely decision making from upper management. We are committed to "bridging the gap" communication-wise and improving all the channels of communication between managers and across all levels of employees. We strive to improve the items you mentioned as soon as possible. Thanks again!

Pros

Outside of "emergencies", I had decent work-life balance as a remote employee. Immediate team members were great.

Cons

Other reviews will say the same - upper management is wild. I had a decent time at this company only so long as I fell under the radar, but you'll have to interact eventually. Leadership plays favorites. There are a few employees who have been there for ages. Anyone can come under fire at any time, and if you're not a favorite you might be "laid off."
