      Pros

      Great Vendor discounts and the Cabela's discount is up to 25% off. Vendor discounts can exceed 60% off MSRP on some products. Working in the outdoor industry is a lot of fun.

      Cons

      Company did not care much about employee morale, only sales/profit. After the recent Bass Pro announcement it makes a lot more sense. Hiring process is a joke and performance management is even worse. HR is so out of touch with the needs of the business they may very well be the root cause of Cabela's failure.

      Excellent work environment, wonderful co-workers, ability to grow with the company and shift departments if desired, and okay pay.

      Cons

      Pay could be better, tend to work most holidays.
