Pros
The management staff in Boise and company overall have defined outstanding leadership. I have been an "outfitter" in the Boise store for the last several years and have always been treated with respect and felt valued as an employee by the management staff, both past and present. I was hired a few months after the store opened and have enjoyed my time here.
Cons
Really the biggest "con" I can think of is in relation to a comment I read from another cabela's Boise employee, as this person doesn't not deserve the title of an outfitter. This is what prompted me to write a comment of my own. This "employee" was probably like a few others I deal with on a daily basis, the ones that do as little work as possible insuring the rest of us will have plenty work to do to pick up the slack. I am sure the previous manager was aware of this and called them out, which I really appreciate. I have worked in the store under the leadership of 2 different store managers and both have done a fantastic job. The only logical reason I can see one getting called out on favoritism is due to the slackers in the store and needing to go to the people that get things done to do jobs in the store. This "employee" should take a hard look at themselves before they cowardly pass judgement on others. I'm sure it's an "employee" that either hangs out in the break room or in a back room visiting with other slackers. So to sum it up, my con is having to be around "employees" like this when the rest of us "outfitters" do what we are paid to do, work!
