Pros

Fairly safe regular salary if you can hack it.

Cons

During my time at Cabot a lot of things have changed mainly the management went from good to very poor. The overall package offers little more than the average salary compared to other similar employers except medical insurance / life insurance cover. Bonus system was complicated (you never quite know what you have to do to get it or what it going to be? ) and was once withdrawn out of the blue but now back in a quarterly pay out scheme. Corporate management is poor leading to chaos at time's at local site level. It's an ok place to work most of the time but you will work hard for your money with little thanks or support from the management seemed to be high rates of fake / false sick from staff but this was tolerated not delt with by managers lots of overtime covering the sick and the dead. Management fail to listen to staff suggestions and carry on regardless.

Pros

Some good people and good location around Boston area.

Cons

Cabot did not feel like an employee-focused company during my time there. I observed multiple layoffs, including employees who had been hired only a few months earlier. The work environment was often very stressful, with heavy workloads and frequent organizational changes. Communication across different management layers was sometimes inconsistent, leading to mixed messages and unclear priorities. Before accepting a position, I would encourage candidates to carefully evaluate the role, team, and long-term stability of the organization. Significant changes can occur quickly, and it's important to understand the potential impact on work-life balance and career plans.
