Pros
1. My manager is nice. 2. Good work-life balance 3. Good company culture. 4. Good as an earlier career choice, or for those who are interested in EDA.
Cons
1. Some departments of Cadence (especially those that involve GUI development) use their own language (SKILL), a language that both hide a lot of details of the CPU and also supports no 3-rd party library, which is not good for career growth. 2. Code review and the overall quality of the code are not comparable to other IT big named companies, which makes sense because most engineers do not have a CS degree.
