Pros

Interesting work. Good products. CEO always honest and on top of things in the past.

Cons

Too middle management heavy. Experienced engineers being replaced by outsourcing teams creates an environment where nobody is certain that their job will still be there in the next Quarter. Upper management went from a super aggressive hiring mode to outsourcing model instead. It appears Calix Board/Investors are looking at bottom line costs only and losing all the company expertise. This will create a huge support hole in the future when all the knowledge base as been let go.

Pros

Incredible culture focused on passion, respect for diverse perspectives, and initiatives that foster innovation. Remote work provides outstanding autonomy, allowing you the freedom to own your schedule and deliver results reliably.

Cons

Remote work is great, but limits team cohesion and relationship building.

Pros

Calix has an excellent company culture where employees genuinely support one another. The collaboration across departments is one of its biggest strengths, making it easy to work together toward common goals. The company also offers a great work-life balance and promotes a flexible, respectful work environment that allows employees to be productive while maintaining their personal lives.

Cons

Compensation could be more competitive, especially for non-Sales roles, as responsibilities grow. Advancement opportunities can also be limited for certain departments, making it challenging for employees looking for long-term career progression within the company.
