Pros

Calix is an excellent company with competitive wages and benefits. Calix goes above and beyond to take care of their employees, ensuring we have adequate time off and resources needed to refresh on every level. Our time off policy is one of the best in the industry. As part of our benefits at Calix, each employee gets a monthly lifestyle reimbursement account. This is huge because it gives us the ability to take care of ourselves and be reimbursed for it! The amount of appreciation for employees shown from all levels of leadership does not go unnoticed. Calix cares about fostering a diverse & inclusive culture. They offer 13 ERGs to support shared interests and lifestyles. We really have an amazing culture here and I am so glad to be a part of it!

Cons

The only con I've found so far, and I am not even sure if it should be one, is the fact that their hiring process is so lengthy that we tend to lose excellent candidates to other companies. The good news is that if a candidate is great enough, they will speed up the offer process from the average 3 months to 1.

The collaboration across departments is one of its biggest strengths, making it easy to work together toward common goals. The company also offers a great work-life balance and promotes a flexible, respectful work environment that allows employees to be productive while maintaining their personal lives.

Cons

Compensation could be more competitive, especially for non-Sales roles, as responsibilities grow. Advancement opportunities can also be limited for certain departments, making it challenging for employees looking for long-term career progression within the company.
