Pros

Working at many smaller, private companies in the past, I was hesitant about whether or not the claims of a positive culture would stand once I was in the thick of it at Calix. I can say now being an established member of the team that there is a level of dedication by both the Talent and Culture organization, and leadership across the board to ensure every team member feels important, valued, and recognizes their potential within this organization. Calix executive seem to understand that the growth of the organization starts with the growth of its members and customers - and they hold true in their support and prioritization of that.

Cons

Calix isn't afraid of innovation... in fact, they define it. There is no slow rolling with this organization so if you're not self-motivated and like to take your time, this organization may not be the fit for you. It's a worthwhile challenge, but not for those that are against buying into the efforts of the company and committing 100%.

Cons

Remote work is great, but limits team cohesion and relationship building.

Pros

Calix has an excellent company culture where employees genuinely support one another. The collaboration across departments is one of its biggest strengths, making it easy to work together toward common goals. The company also offers a great work-life balance and promotes a flexible, respectful work environment that allows employees to be productive while maintaining their personal lives.

Cons

Compensation could be more competitive, especially for non-Sales roles, as responsibilities grow. Advancement opportunities can also be limited for certain departments, making it challenging for employees looking for long-term career progression within the company.
