Pros

Good collaborative environment with the perks of working remotely.

Cons

If an employee is not excelling in the role, the manager and HR should help transition the employee into a different role where the skills are a better match instead of abruptly firing. CxO suite has a cult-like culture, which comes off as artificial. Fiber technology is tried and tested, customers are old-school somewhere in the rural US - not exactly cutting edge and stay excited. Too many cooks in the kitchen, redundancy with customer success team. Product management is silod and focused on agile process - doesn't get input from other teams before churning out new services and features.

Thank you for your feedback. We actively encourage all team members to share their views. As we often state, our core leadership mantra is “Don’t let me be wrong” where we encourage people to speak up if they disagree. If the team members identify an area where we need to adjust, we are thankful for that opportunity to change and grow. If the team member’s feedback does not align to our broader strategy – then it is a great opportunity to educate on the broader strategy while amplifying that across the company (If one person has a misperception, others probably do also). Our mission is to help broadband providers of all sizes simplify their business, excite their subscribers, and grow their business. We achieve this by providing a platform and educating our customers on how to leverage that platform to transform from a network operator to a broadband managed service provider. That is our job, to help them transform and your comment on our customers being old school rural US is a stereotype where you paint everyone with the same brush. We do not agree. America is filled with innovation, and it is our job to help them unleash that innovation. Thank you for your feedback on the different teams. Our culture of “better, better, never best” is constantly seeking inputs to improve and constantly ensuring that our leadership team is aligned on our purpose, our strategy – which we share every quarter in the Calix Quarterly – and where we are executing well and where we can improve, while continuing to improve our processes around all elements of our business – such as customer input into product ideation, etc.

Pros

Calix has an excellent company culture where employees genuinely support one another. The collaboration across departments is one of its biggest strengths, making it easy to work together toward common goals. The company also offers a great work-life balance and promotes a flexible, respectful work environment that allows employees to be productive while maintaining their personal lives.

Cons

Compensation could be more competitive, especially for non-Sales roles, as responsibilities grow. Advancement opportunities can also be limited for certain departments, making it challenging for employees looking for long-term career progression within the company.
