Pros

Great venue if you are looking to work on some great technologies, but not so great compensation.

Cons

HR just don't care to respond to employees emails, be it urgent or anything.I takes multiple attempts for them to finally respond. Most lousy HR department, I would rate as bad and this greatly affects Calix brand . I have also heard from my friends who have been through the interview and they just dont follow-up with the candidates to update on the status. It is like a black hole nobody knows what goes on.

I am sorry that you had a negative experience with our HR team here at Calix. You are absolutely correct: not getting back to candidates reflects terribly on our company brand, and we are working hard internally to correct inefficiencies in our hiring process. Please feel free to contact me directly with specific issues you/your friends have experienced so that I can address them immediately. michelle.smith@calix.com

Incredible culture focused on passion, respect for diverse perspectives, and initiatives that foster innovation. Remote work provides outstanding autonomy, allowing you the freedom to own your schedule and deliver results reliably.

Cons

Remote work is great, but limits team cohesion and relationship building.

Pros

Calix has an excellent company culture where employees genuinely support one another. The collaboration across departments is one of its biggest strengths, making it easy to work together toward common goals. The company also offers a great work-life balance and promotes a flexible, respectful work environment that allows employees to be productive while maintaining their personal lives.

Cons

Compensation could be more competitive, especially for non-Sales roles, as responsibilities grow. Advancement opportunities can also be limited for certain departments, making it challenging for employees looking for long-term career progression within the company.
