Pros

During recruitment they were transparent and didn't feel like they will ghost us. They will take their time in finding the right fit and that makes a huge difference in work culture. I've worked in 7 different companies before but Calix stands out in terms of people first 'Culture'. They walk the talk. I had a new born within weeks of joining and they still offered me 16 weeks of paternity leave with no strings attached. Almost everyone makes you feel like you are welcome, and you are important for the org. Every process seems to be thought out, there is clear structure even for things like training and wellness reimbursement and appreciation. Work has been exciting. My manager is firm on results but hasn't micromanaged. There is clear expectation on performance goals and how it is linked to bonuses. My decisions/ feedback are valued when selecting a product or inputs to future roadmaps.

Cons

I've not experienced anything negative till now.

Remote work is great, but limits team cohesion and relationship building.

Pros

Calix has an excellent company culture where employees genuinely support one another. The collaboration across departments is one of its biggest strengths, making it easy to work together toward common goals. The company also offers a great work-life balance and promotes a flexible, respectful work environment that allows employees to be productive while maintaining their personal lives.

Cons

Compensation could be more competitive, especially for non-Sales roles, as responsibilities grow. Advancement opportunities can also be limited for certain departments, making it challenging for employees looking for long-term career progression within the company.
