Pros
Paid time off, annual shutdowns, benefits are decent , there are SOME nice people here, bi-annual Christmas party, picnic too.
Cons
Pay is very low unless you are a Supv or Manager. Hourly employees do the actual slaving away work , and the bosses get the bonuses for it ! The employees that have been there for a long time think they own the place , and they DO get away with a LOT of undermined things !! I've seen it on a daily basis , but who can u tell ?? No one will listen, and IF they do, won't do a darn thing about it !! Example = we get a half an hour lunch, but, some take an hour and never get in trouble!! Same with breaks, we get 10 min, but they can take 30 . There really ARE unfair work practices here . It's all about who you're buddy , buddy with, and who you are. If they think you may "stir the pot" , u can get away with most anything! The upper Management never see, because they're usually in the cafeteria for breakfast, or coffee, or in their office . And why is there a employee handbook ? HR certainly make up their own rules for certain people . There are MANY that need to go, should have already been fired !! LOTS of gossiping older women in there trying to find out your personal business so they can go tell their friends inside, and so on ! You can't trust most fellow employees, watch yourself in what you say, and WHO you say it to. It will be all over the plant before the days end ! Jeez....DONT work here if you think u can make it on the pay either , you may need a 2nd job if you are a single parent . LOW pay !!
