current status of canonical - Engineering Manager Canonical Employee Review

* corporate level decisions seem to be made without considering individuals. these are data driven, but its not clear what the source is, what the density is on the majority population, etc. equity is more than everyone gets the same X * promotion requirements are unclear and seem to be a moving target * every review cycle since i've joined has had the rules change on who i am compared on * hiring is long and at times too critical. i enjoyed the process, but we lose a lot of senior+ talent in the process.
