Thank you for sharing your feedback and for the dedication you’ve brought to your role during your time at Canvas. We’re glad to hear that you’ve found value in our benefits, including paid time off and our scheduling structure. That said, we are saddened to learn that other aspects of your experience fell short of your expectations. That is not the experience we want any team member to have—especially so early in their journey with us. We want to note that in our most recent Communication Center employee engagement survey, 100% of team member respondents reported feeling safe to raise concerns without fear of retaliation - a reflection of our ongoing commitment to psychological safety and open dialogue. We take concerns like yours seriously. Input such as yours allows us to pause, reflect, and continue improving how we support our people. Creating a culture rooted in respect, trust, and well-being remains one of our highest priorities, and we are committed to fostering an environment where all team members feel heard and valued. We encourage you to share your feedback with leadership or the People Team so we can better understand the challenges you’ve experienced. Thank you again for your candor as your perspective plays an important role in helping us grow. We wish you continued success in your career at Canvas.

Pros

The compensation is the only genuinely positive aspect of this position.

Cons

Nonexistent Training: You are set up to fail from the start with a complete lack of proper training and ongoing leadership support. Management Dodges Work: Managers actively avoid doing their jobs. They will outright refuse to take escalation calls, leaving frontline staff to fend for themselves. Unexplained Discipline: Leadership hands out write-ups with absolutely zero explanation or constructive feedback, creating an environment of anxiety and confusion. Toxic Culture: Internal teams openly disrespect one another, creating a completely dysfunctional and frustrating day-to-day dynamic. Customer Frustration: Due to complete lack of hard turn times here members will basically be spam calling you as processing drops the ball constantly, and underwriting can’t make a sound decision to save their lives.
