Pros

First off, Canyon Ranch is a BEAUTIFUL place to work, with great benefits including: full use of the facilities and classes, discounted services, and discounted rates for meals and stays. MOST of the guests and fellow employees are pleasant to work with. Pay is good for the local area. Their benefits are pretty decent. One of my favorite "perks" about working at Canyon Ranch was the healthy life style information surrounding you. Employees are welcome and encouraged to attend workshops and fitness classes.. classes that guests spend big bucks to attend (included in their package stay).

Cons

The cons are basically the same thing you would find in any other place of work- stress of day to day work.. some guests might be unhappy with their room location, and you will need to tactfully either find them a new room, or make sure they are happy with the outcomes. The front desk is always hit with random complaints when it's time to pay the bill. ect.

Pros

Beautiful facility. Discounts on services. Probably a really great company if you work on the corporate side/C-Suite.

Cons

However, if you are going to apply for a hands on role at a property/club - do not work here. Including management positions. Canyon Ranch was once a celebrated idea, company, and place to work, but over the last handful of years with the ownership change, as well as the current C-Suite (Rivers, Phinney, Werner, etc), Canyon Ranch is the worst “health and wellness” company on the market. Mainly for your mental health. And your pay. If you do decide to take a job on the property/club side, just remember this review when you try to ask for a pay raise (LOL), find yourself doing the work of three roles because they are too cheap and broke (yes, really) to hire good talent, and lose sleep at night because you have zero support from the people who think they know better than you who have never worked a day in their life in customer service. As a warning: please keep searching for another company to work for if you want to keep your sanity and be respected for what you bring to the table.
