Pros

Lots of smart people that you get to work with. There are some cool client projects, but most are fairly mundane. Benefits are good. The intern and new college hire programs appear to be very organized and well run...it's probably a decent place to start a career, I just can't recommend it to experienced professionals.

Cons

Recruiters will absolutely lie to you during the hiring process. If you want to be promoted, you must do extra internal work on top of your 40 billable hours, despite their insistence that this is't the case. You have absolutely no control over which client/project you're assigned to unless you intention hide skills from your internal resume (which seemed to be common practice). The internal structure of the company is abysmal - they've outgrown their systems but refuse to address it. It's an HR lawsuit waiting to happen. The company outwardly projects a fun culture, but I found it to be a fairly strict and oppressive workplace.

Bench time can be a little anxiety inducing.

We appreciate everything you do for CapTech, and I'm glad your experience has been a positive one. We want everyone to feel supported as they grow and develop in new ways. I agree that the transition between clients can be stressful, and we recognize the importance of communication, support and engagement during these periods of change. Our weekly bench calls and open-door culture are two ways team members on the bench can connect and learn how to stay connected between clients. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR
