Pros

I was able to grow a ton at CapTech. With the right "coach" or manager, if you wanted to learn, grow and be a part of the community and leadership you had the ability to do so through continuous learning, certifications, communities of practice, feedback, etc. Certain areas of the company are flat and encourage growth and leadership. I was never afraid to reach out and get to know Partners and Principles in the organization. I never felt like a "number" in an organization of over 1,000 people. My network grew with many amazing people across the country (8 offices).

Cons

Local "leadership" (Denver office) was stifling, dictatorial and if you didn't agree with the "top" two people then you were driven out, either subtly or aggressively. They directed from the "top down" and claimed to encougae leaders at all levals but that was not the case. Their way or the highway. People would leave the company and there would be nothing about their departure except a single sentence at the bottom of an email on a Friday. The two created a culture of fear (CapTech as a company promotes a wonderful work/life balance, in the Denver office people were literally afraid to work from home, leave early to work from home etc).... and those two keep getting promoted.
