Pros
I knew of Capital Group professionally before I joined them and also have friends who have worked here. I am pleased to find that my experience as an employee is consistent with and echoes the positive things I had heard and witnessed prior to joining. The culture is hard working but friendly, largely consisting of hugely intelligent and engaging team players. You are encouraged to work autonomously and opinions are valued which makes it a lot easier to make a contribution. The team I work with, and indeed many of those I encounter in the wider population, are easy going and have a fabulous sense of humour. The benefits are great! Culture wise, it’s a really good mix between that small company, family feel here in London and the bonus of being part of a large, established and trusted wider company with global reach and structure. Capital have an outstanding charitable giving effort and there are loads of opportunities to get involved with various projects and charity events. The financial sector can be tough and I have heard many a horror story from renowned companies across the field. I personally feel the Assistants are really valued and find the culture here is so much healthier. Work / life balance is genuinely achievable whilst being challenged in your day to day and so far I am really enjoying my time here.
Cons
Nothing major to note so far!
