Pros
Everyone is extremely nice. Managers are accommodating. Work from home is currently 4 days a month. Most of the time you're able to do your work as you please without feeling heavily monitored and there isn't too much meaningless paperwork nonsense.
Cons
The only con is that since everyone likes it here, no one leaves so promotions are slow and even making a lateral movement in the company is unlikely. Capital Group is very conservative (in a financial sense) and the environment is not "exciting" in that way. Occasionally the nature of the work (finance) will be stressful but that has little to do with the organization. Sometimes scheduling and taking vacations will be difficult and one can feel pressured to not take a vacation. But this may just be our societal culture since I was never implicitly or explicitly discouraged from taking one. Managers and leads can sometimes be too indirect and vague with critiques or advice in an effort to be kind and this can lead to slower development.
