Pros
Departmental leadership is wonderful with addressing issues that can arise, such as scheduling issues, equipment failures, and staffing. Capital health has been a great environment to work in. As a former student and now employee of over 10 years, i would recommend this place to work. My direct experience has been overall positive with coworkers and interacting with other departments. With any healthcare job, comes stress and emotions, but the environment has been positive as long as it stays patient focused. Leadership has been great accommodating personal issues with taking leave and making sure time off is given when available. Overall benefits and pto are competitive, with a good amount of pto to start, in comparison to other places I have worked.
Cons
As for cons, this health system is rapidly growing and needs a little time to catch up, so naturally there are some growing pains associated with staffing and demands. So far we have been ok, but it’s definitely something that can be stressful as we adjust and expand.
