Pros
My experience, particularly as a woman, has been nothing but a positive one. I never experienced or witnessed any type of sexism at the company, in fact, it has been quite the opposite. I feel that the owners and my manager built a friendly culture of inclusion and equality. Working at Phone2Action has been a blessing for me and I have a lot of gratitude for my manager. He has high standards but he is clear on expectations, fair, and supportive. I feel comfortable asking questions and he always shows me he values my work. He is very involved in our work and has never left me without support or assistance when needed.
Cons
Over the past 2 years the company has evolved at a rapid pace. The ability to be flexible and resilient through change is not something everyone can do, and, as a result, some are no longer working at Phone2Action. I feel bad that some people are still struggling in their lives and not happy in their current situations so they feel the need to coordinate to write negative reviews about the company. It is hard to lose your job but people who say that the company is sexist are just not being truthful. The cons of working at Phone2Action are really more reflective of the environment created by those unwilling to change with the company and choose (even after they have left P2A) to spread negativity among current and former P2A employees, discredit the hard work of everyone at P2A, and provide false or exaggerated narratives.
