Great pay and benefits, but challenging customers - Collections Specialist CardWorks Employee Review

Good corporate culture is important to me since I spend so much time with colleagues. CardWorks has it in spades, and leadership sets that tone.

Nothing negative about the company.

The group I worked with was wonderful. I loved my coworkers. (Not management) but the people I worked with daily were awesome.

Management was horrendous. In the simplest of terms. Micro management was so extreme under our AVP, that seven people left in 6 months. I want to reiterate that we got a new AVP, who came in and said she wouldn’t change anything because my departments work was always top tier, done before schedule, and we ran like a well oiled machine. When new AVP came in, talked down to us, exercised extreme and excessive control, and made work unpleasant. During our employee appreciation day, where we are allowed to be participating in the activities all day, she insisted that we all needed to be back inside by 1pm. By the time we were “let” back out, the events were over. I have never, and will never work for someone like her again. Management is a major problem in this department. Proceed with caution.
