There's a reason for the high turnover. - Production Technician Cardinal Glass Employee Review

Pros

Profit sharing, overtime opportunities, the work itself isn't difficult, clean facility.

Cons

Where do I begin? - Unprofessional behavior from management. They will bad-mouth other employees to their peers. - Work/life balance is poor. One week is 50 hours, and the next week is 58 hours (mandatory OT every other Saturday). OT availability is a pro when it isn't forced. There is honor in hard work, but people also have lives outside of their job. - Health package is costly with a high deductible. - 5 days of PTO. They formerly required ONE YEAR of employment before being eligible for any PTO. - Management refuses to acknowledge that the reason for such high turnover is because employees are treated poorly, and people leave once they become wise to the better opportunities out there. - One 10-minute paid break is provided near the end of your shift. This is for a job where you're walking on concrete floors and lifting product all day. I've had sit down jobs that offered two paid 15-minute breaks. Your employees are human beings.

Pros

Some of your coworkers are nice Pay is ok. They have profit sharing.

Cons

It felt like they used me to cover labor during an employee’s maternity leave and let me go at the end of the probationary period because she was returning. They said I “lacked motivation” but I was often the only one working while everyone else stood around and talked. I was mistreated by several employees the entire 90 days. Everyone is related to each other, so if you don’t have any family there, you’re probably not going to make it past the probationary period. They cited a missed day of work, but there’s several new employees who have used all their vacation and still no call days with no consequences. Profit sharing is apparently a thing, but I never saw it.
