Experienced Manager Feeling Disengaged - Manager CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Employee Review

Pros

Great benefits for long term employees, central locations, and depending on who you report to opportunities for training

Cons

More and more long term associates who still have a lot to contribute are feeling as if they're being pushed out in favor of younger MBAs - as if they don't even exist. Leadership has a back biting and punitive attitude. The average worker finds it difficult to get work done when leadership is fighting with one another. Especially in IT there is a mentality to grab credit and place blame on a daily basis contributing to stress and poor morale.

Pros

I have a supportive team, my leadership encourages work-life balance, the company culture is very pleasing to me, plenty of leadership presence and transparency about company happenings, and the employee benefits are phenomenal.

Cons

I genuinely don't have anything negative to say at this moment.

Pros

Ability to work from home.

Cons

Extremely low salary for 2026. Far too much work to stay afloat. Everyone is on PTO constantly which makes training/help almost impossible. Tenured employees are unavailable majority of the time and leave unfinished work on your plate to deal with.
