Pros

None at this time. It used to be a fun, exciting place to work with a great mission and model. And now it's a corporate wasteland. There are a few good people there but their numbers are quickly diminishing. The only thing I can think of is that I still believe in the Caregiver Homes model, if they implement it right.

Cons

The culture is awful. Some people with ill and self-serving intentions currently set the tone and have the power. That kind of miasmic atmosphere filters down to the rest of the company. In corporate, you are rewarded for how late you stay, not the quality of your work. Forget leaving early to go to a doctor's appointment. You'll probably get indirectly punished for it at some point. If you don't speak your supervisor's language, you are judged harshly and unfairly. You are blamed for your "failures", even if it was not your fault and they do not try to help you succeed by providing more support or resources. Your actual accomplishments are also ignored. Don't forget the ageism and sexism. You will be completely looked over if you are appear younger and are a woman. They don't even try hire diverse staff. It's not a good place to start your career. There are very little perks to working there and you will never be rewarded financially. You will be looked at as paid labor first, and a human second. People are fired left and right with absolutely no warning, explanation, or transparency. You are constantly looking over your shoulder worrying you're next. Change management is nonexistent. Because of this, people are leaving before they are seemingly inevitably let go. They are losing their best talent due to under valuing and overlooking their employees. Too bad a place that showed promise when I started there quickly went into a nose dive. The corporate office is an absolutely toxic place to work, and I unfortunately want to vomit every time I think about Seniorlink.

Pros

Rewarding work, some supportive team members, remote work, overall a decent job if you keep to yourself and have moderate expectations. They sell you a mission, but once you start you realize that doesn't really exist. Very metric focused and due to staffing changes those metrics can be unattainable at times unless you sacrifice the quality of your work which management will encourage you to do to 'maximize efficiency'

Cons

Increasingly high case load, constant office drama- easy to avoid but certain coworkers and managers will focus more on 'team culture' but really they just want to gossip and ensure you fall in line with their 'side'
