- bad business decisions made by inexperienced decision makers - knee jerk reactions rather than carefully thought out plans - same mistakes made over and over again with no accountability - engineers, team leads, and supervisors are stretched to where they are not effective - salaried positions filled with inexperienced people right out of university - layoffs are the norm for cutting costs - experienced people with seniority let go for cheaper labor with no experience - nearly all of shop floor management team has been with the company less than a few yrs - independent decisions can't be made without to several team meetings filling up your day - too many meetings don't allow enough time to get work done - there's a training department but no one is properly trained - its a struggle to complete simple tasks when operating in constant firefighting mode - shop floor employees are also pushed beyond their limits causing moral to nosedive - annual pay raises are practically nonexistent - no bonuses or profit sharing
