Terrible - Anonymous Carlisle Interconnect Technologies Employee Review

Plant management is awful. There are some people who are great at their jobs and others who are incredibly lazy. They can't fire the lazy ones because due to their poor reputation they can't hire people to replace them. Poor communication between departments, everything is someone else's fault. This company does not have an open door policy. My boss felt threatened by me before I walked in the door and did not give me the time of day. There was no emphasis on mentorship, personal growth, or the future. It was always about "Are we going to miss an on-time-delivery"? Half of the time when something was late, plant management would say "Its not late if we change the due date!" Metrics are only as good as the data you put into them. It was a hostile environment. People would yell at each other, yell at customers and vendors on the phone, very little respect given. Input was not welcome either. There would be periodic "kaizen" events, and if you had feedback they only wanted to hear it through there. The suggestions given at the kaizen events were pathetic. The most in depth one was "Hang pictures in the mothers room". Anyone who is smart doesn't stay here long.
