Pros

Carolina Handling is a great place to work. I have been here almost a year and couldn't be happier with my change. I get a lot of support from my team and still learning something new everyday. My manager is open to new ideas and allows me freedom to go about the work in my own way.

Cons

From what I hear, Carolina Handling used to be a lot different. I think the growth has made some people uncomfortable. There a lot of new managers in general and that can be hard on any company. There are also a lot of time consuming processes. It can take me multiple steps to complete the simplest of tasks.

Pros

CHL actually cares about the employees. Most jobs you feel like just a number but here they truly care about you as a person and want you to succeed.

Cons

There is a lot of information to learn during onboarding, so it can feel overwhelming at first.

Pros

Good company to work for if you need to gain experience, or are young and want to build a long career. A lot of people here have been with the company 10+ years and have built meaningful lives for themselves and their families.

Cons

With so many people having worked only at this company for their entire careers, they are resistant to change. A lot of outdated systems. Pay is comparatively low, at least in the department I was in, and the workload is heavy so you are expected to work overtime. Leaves very little time for any kind of life outside of work.
