Pros
Generally the staff/management at Carollo are ethical, hard working, supportive, fair, interested in helping each other, focused on quality, and truly engaged in trying to serve their clients. The CEO is a fantastic leader and truly an inspiration. I found most staff to be professional, and highly competent at their jobs. Carollo was a great place to learn.
Cons
Not all groups within Carollo have the came culture. Some groups within Carollo have a negative (dismissive of general company standards and culture), very demanding, get the job done within ridiculous time line, for a budget that you don't set, and with no resources to help. These groups have the attitude that their project is all that matters / no such thing as work life balance, we don't care what you have to do, just get it done by the deadline. They will schedule meetings over holidays (then cancel last minute), expect you to cancel planned vacations, expect you to find and set up coverage plans before you can take time off even if you have no control over the resources you need to provide coverage, and even if the vacation was agreed paid for and scheduled before the project even started. Basically nothing matters other than the next deadline. They will call, email, and text you after hours, on vacation, and when you are in personal appointments. However, this is not typical of Carollo. I would absolutely recommend working in the municipal water and waste water group, infrastructure group, R&D, business solutions etc. Definitely avoid working in the private sector group.
