Pros
- No state income tax if working in FL HQ - HQ building and facilities are very nice - Stable business during COVID, difficult to get fired - Good share price outlook - New corporate opportunities as a result of United Technologies spinoff
Cons
- Slow progression - Poor at developing talent resulting in most talented leaders coming from the outside (McKinsey, Bain, Competitors, etc.) - Management is frantic and unorganized - Culture of fearing your superiors, not conducive to collaboration and new idea generation - People will treat you differently based on job title, hierarchal culture - Old school political environment, appearing to do work will get you promoted faster than driving results - Pay is okay for South Florida but below market until you reach executive
