I joined Cartera this past spring and am so glad I made the move! From a career perspective, I feel like I really have an opportunity to be part of a growth business where I am empowered to contribute to that growth. Since I have been here, I have also seen some internal promotions that make me feel confident that there is internal growth opportunities. For people who really want to have a measurable impact on a business, Cartera is a great place. And by the way, the Cartera business is profitable. The culture is really fun if you are the kind of person who likes to work hard and laugh hard. We had the best Halloween and Holiday parties this year.. and we have weekly Brew 30s which bring the company together in a casual way over beer and snacks. It is always a great way to end a Thursday! Management is transparent with monthly company meetings. They share the financial performance of the business, celebrate success and discuss challenges in an open forum. Having been in another start-up prior to Cartera, I know that this level of transparency is unique.
Cons
The technology infrastructure needs some updating, but the teams are aggressively working on it. And given the progress that I have seen over the past 6 months, I am optimistic that we will be in a much better place within the next 6 months.
