Pros

The clinicians and their managers help children and their families with services that they need to survive. There are some good people who just work and keep their head down because of fear of being fired for speaking up.

Cons

Manager don't have any idea about how to manage people or distribute work. There are people literally doing nothing while others are loaded with daily work. They make up things for people to do and change titles to keep people they like employed. Department names change constantly and titles are create to keep their friends or people who suck up to them employed. This is a charity that takes money from donors who genuinely believe in the cause, but like so many other organizations for children with autism, Catalight has been hiding its lack of business prowess behind a now popular idea of helping children with autism and polished marketing.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective and for recognizing the commitment of our nonprofit clinicians and managers who work every day to ensure access to high-quality care. Your concerns about workload, organizational structure, leadership and how resources are allocated are important topics that deserve thoughtful attention and the kind of back-and-forth discussion that's often difficult to have in a forum like this. As a current employee, we offer a variety of ways to raise concerns beyond your manager, including our confidential helpline at 1-833-44-PROTECT (1-833-447-7683). Being a values-centered organization, we make a concerted effort to empower employees to share feedback directly with their manager's supervisor, department leadership, human resources, company leaders outside their department, and during quarterly town halls and other all-company meetings. Those conversations give us the opportunity to ask questions, understand context and, when needed, take action in ways that simply aren't possible otherwise. We encourage employees to use those channels so concerns can be fully addressed.
