Pros
Very friendly staff, easy to get along with others here, especially the surgical short stay unit and post-op units. Management is small enough to really have the ability to get things done- not too much bureaucracy or sticky hospital politics. Beautiful scenery and located just minutes outside of downtown Ithaca. Great schools, excellent place to raise a family and for those who love the outdoors. The summers are exceptionally beautiful.
Cons
Wish there was a more developed PA-based representation system to the medical staff/ hospital decisions (which is currently being developed). Ithaca is fairly isolated in terms of non-family-based social life. There are not many things to do in the winter at night besides go to a local concert or bar.
