Pros

It is true, Enterprise Software can be boring. "We are building a system that manages your travel expenses; your invoices; your customer data..." - rarely you meet a company that offers something that is truly exciting. With Celonis, I have found a company that makes Enterprise Software incredibly exciting. We solve customer problems that usually require the smartness of McKinsey, but we do this at scale and with the speed of technology. It never gets boring to be in the room with the executives of Fortune 1000 companies, and clearly communicate how we can grow both their top-line and reduce their bottom-line.

Cons

Celonis is fast, and still grows rapidly at a large scale. It can get uncomfortable; you have to figure out things on your own, and a lot of responsibilities are put in your hands.

Pros

Unlimited PTO and smart people, who unfortunately are leaving.

Cons

Sales and technical teams are not always set up to succeed together, which creates unnecessary pressure on technical teams and contributes to burnout. There is a strong focus on growth, but employee retention does not receive the same attention. Compensation is not always competitive, and career advancement processes can feel inconsistent depending on the opportunities available to you. All approvals run up to founder level.
