Pros
The people have been incredibly welcoming, supportive, flexible, and patient. Celonis as a whole aligns so well with the values and type of company I set out to find when I conducted my job search in the spring, and while you're always nervous if you made the right choice, I can say with full confidence after 90 days here, I know I did! We are such a team-first environment and I love that ('best team wins'!!).
We also put our money (time) where our mouth is. We are about to take 2 of 3 company-wide impact days off this Friday (Aug 12) to go into the community and give back. Celonis is truly doing its best to embody 'Earth is our Future' and it shows. Along with that, it's very clear they want to take care of their people. Benefits so far have proven great, especially the new paternal leave policy of 6 months fully paid for the primary caregiver and 3 months fully paid for the secondary parent. Best offering I've seen to date!
Company facility is beautiful here in Raleigh, the WeWork is in a great location and close to everything. Parking is super convenient and paid for by Celonis.
We use best in class technology in our hybrid work environment (Dell, Microsoft, Apple). Similar to other companies, you are given a company laptop and any accessories you may need (mouse, monitor, keyboard, etc.). Work from home is dependent upon each team, but most are super flexible with this. Cell phone bills each month are covered by Celonis to help offset work-related expenses. Even gym memberships and various apps like headspace are covered to help nourish your health and well being outside of work as well.
Overall, they do a great job at setting each Celonaut up for success from day one (and during the entirety of their employment), especially in orientation!
Onboarding was smooth and well put together. Celonis is a global company so that means even virtual orientation is spent with those from across the globe which was so cool. That element has really heightened onboarding and my overall experience at the company so far. They really care for and properly prepare for their newcomers and it shows!
The team that I sit on, Talent Acquisition, is phenomenal at what they do and they are always so willing to teach. I was nervous about transitioning from a higher education environment, having never worked in a corporate environment before, but the team welcomed me with open arms and embraced my professional differences. I could not think of a better company to have chosen to make this transition with. Everything from our Friday fun traditions to slack channel group chats keeps the days feeling engaging and fulfilling, even from afar when we are working remotely. Could not have asked for a better team to join!
Cons
There really aren't many downsides to this company. Coming from higher education, I had no idea what to expect, but I think Celonis has done a wonderful job at surpassing my expectations. I'm really enjoying the startup nature to our culture. It feels like they truly care about their people and it shows in the business decisions that they make and the culture they have worked very hard to create.
No company is perfect, and their is certainly always room for improvement (namely improvement in the areas of pay and acknowledgment of Talent Acquisition professionals within the company), but my overall experience has been great and I know with confidence the team takes feedback to heart and always does what they can to act on it accordingly.
The bones of what we have here at Celonis is super solid, and it makes being a Celonaut so fulfilling!
