Pros

We used to be great and unique which gave us the ability to markup our technology. Now, other companies are catching up and at a discount which will be a point of concern based on our growth targets and projections. Technology Pro: The core of our product is one of a kind. I used Celonis before joining the company to help me with my process improvement initiatives and it really was mesmerizing. If you really want to get your hands on the best process mining from a process insights perspective this is the tool you want. Culture Pro: If you are an individual contributor I can assure you that you will be working with people that are very collaborative and intelligent. Leadership Pro: Your first line will probably be a good manager (unless you're in sales) but they are dealing with so many things coming from the top that it is hard for them to build meaningful and trustworthy relationships with those under them.

Cons

Leadership: Con: There is a massive disconnect between the founders / top execs and the rest of the organization. Let me start with the founders. The company has fully outgrown them and they can't let go. They have to approve everything. And I mean everything. They brought in several leaders from Google, Accenture, Salesforce, etc and all of them left within 18 months. The CEOs haven't been able to transition from the startup mentality to what a 4000 people organization needs as leadership. If you are in what is now the Value Engineering organization, then it is far worse. They two SVPs grew within the company ranks from solution engineers to now this high executive roles so they don't have any real experience leading an organization this diverse. They also have no sense of trust to the leadership they hire under them. They treat everything as a fire and there are soooooo many meetings about status updates that people can't get much done. They micromanage every account and will reach out to consultants independently after status updates are provided by leadership to confirm if what has been shared is accurate. The sentiment is that the org is driven by fear rather than collaboration and innovation. Culture: Con: Honestly, it is the lack of culture. I've been here over 3 years and I've witnessed how a company that used to be fun and engaging is now only focusing on everything but people. If you leave, they will call you a traitor even after not providing any opportunities for growth or incentives to stay. And by the way, those who leave get promoted into better roles and usually end up at the competition… Technology: Con: The executive team really doesn't know what they are trying to do next. They invented a category with the hopes to create some hype but it only generates confusion. Companies are still trying to understand what process mining is and we do a very good job at making it very complicated. In addition, they are trying to operationalize the tool to make it worth its subscription base but let me tell you, companies are not buying into the value proposition of what this business apps are trying to solve. Most of the big use cases that we solve with our apps could be addressed with traditional analytical tools.

Pros

Unlimited PTO and smart people, who unfortunately are leaving.

Cons

Sales and technical teams are not always set up to succeed together, which creates unnecessary pressure on technical teams and contributes to burnout. There is a strong focus on growth, but employee retention does not receive the same attention. Compensation is not always competitive, and career advancement processes can feel inconsistent depending on the opportunities available to you. All approvals run up to founder level.
