Pros
The clinical staff care about patients and each other. The PTO is good - if you can get it authorized.
Cons
Profits over patients and staff. The only way to make money in hospice is to cut services to patients - primarily through reduced staffing. Gentiva is well aware of that. Staff are assigned ridiculously large caseloads that compromise not only the quality of care but also result in situations that could easily compromise patient safety. No raises for years at a time and horrible mileage reimbursement only worsen morale.
