Cepheid is chronically and intentionally understaffed, with all the tension and high turnover that comes with that. Workloads were about 2x what they would be at correctly-staffed companies, and 10-12 hour days plus working most weekends were the baseline; crunch times increased hours from there. My co-workers were stressed and short-fused. I am limited in what I can say, but my time there was the single worst experience in my professional life.
