Pros
Short commute from my home. Sadly, that is it for 'pros' for Cetera.
Cons
Worked there for over 5 years and had mandatory, required overtime for 4 years and 11 months. Compared to similar positions at other companies in and around the area, the pay is dreadful. They pile on the overtime with little to no pay increases, but have brain washed many of the employees into thinking that they too, could move up the company ladder. Nope. Most of the time they hire externally instead of promoting from within the company, thus adding to the hostile work environment. Management is a joke and most do NOT know what exactly their employees/team actually do, or how they fulfill their duties and job requirements; therefore, annual reviews are laughable, and management cannot assist their team at all. Lots of 70-80 hour work weeks with no compensation, and management threatens everyone with termination if they do not complete and work the mandatory overtime. I had to miss my Aunt's visitation after she passed away because my manager informed me they were swamped, and I had to come in or be let go. There is absolutely no work/life balance, it's all work or they show you the door.
