Pros

Some of the greatest people you've ever worked with. Very much not a normal corporate office. Relaxed dress code. Great people.

Cons

A few years ago we were a small company, small corporate office, and a close knit family. Every employee was one of the family. You interacted with the owners each day and really felt like they cared about you. This is no longer. The culture is very much now like it was at the old company after we were sold. The ownership is always down dark hallways and behind closed doors, away from the people, avoiding the people My manager isn't allowed to make decisions without confirming with an owner, who rarely comes to work. Creates a huge bottleneck in day-to-day opperations. Very 1950's work environment. No flexibility, no perks, archaic computer systems. Corporate office employees are treated like warehouse staff. Corporate culture is a struggle. PTO is frowned upon. Taking PTO is a task to managers, because we're so understaffed. It's encouraged to accrue all 160 hours. HR is always behind closed doors, very hard to talk to HR department.

Thank you for your review and comments. While I disagree with most of your comments - we do agree on one important thing: We treat Corporate employees just like warehouse staff. We do this because we believe that no one in our company is a second-class team member and that our warehouse teams are just as valuable as our Corporate teams. I do understand your comment about employees recently being asked not to get ice out of the upstairs kitchen, that same kitchen where the chef prepares wonderful meals at discounted prices to Corporate employees. This was due to certain employees filling up ice chests and bags of ice from those smaller machines, leaving none for the rest. We are in the process of buying a much more expensive commercial ice machine that will make enough ice for everyone. I am proud of our company, and proud of the people that work here. I want everyone to feel that this environment is supportive of work-life balance and a place where they can achieve their career goals. If an individual is not happy here, though, I would encourage them to find a place to work that truly makes them happy. Life is too short to work in a place where you are not happy. With Gratitude, Robert Chadwell
