Toxic Work Environment - Technical Support Chamberlain University Employee Review

Pros

Work/life balance is better than most. Benefits are good and pay is mostly industry standard.

Cons

Most co-workers and peers are wonderful, but management, or more specifically the management culture contributes to what is largely a toxic environment. Your work will be quadrupled for same pay; also, I experienced consistently that management WILL not have your back when needed, and some in management can be borderline abusive and not held accountable. Also, beware that it is a trend in the company that a papertrail will be falsely imposed on you if they want to cut back on your job- and no matter how hard you try to prevent it they will terminate you. When I left, workers across the board were leaving their roles in droves to go elsewhere. Simply, a toxic work environment since the latest leadership took over. No one speaks up because they are fearful for their jobs. A corrupted and racist version of DEI abounds.

Pros

I've spent many years at Chamberlain, and one of the main reasons is the opportunity for growth. If you're looking for a career rather than just a job, there are clear advancement opportunities at both the enrollment representative and leadership levels. The culture is performance-driven but also coaching-focused, with strong investment in training and development. Chamberlain has strong brand recognition, which makes conversations with prospective students meaningful and rewarding.

Cons

The pace can be demanding during peak enrollment periods, and success requires adaptability as priorities and processes evolve.
