- huge ambitions
- addressing meaningful problems at scale
- talented people who are passionate about the issues they're working on
- genuine commitment to equity and inclusivity
- generous resources now and no doubts about future funding
Cons
- compensation is solid, but not as lucrative as at the top tech companies (much better than most non-profits, though)
- ties to FB mean that people outside of the company view our work with suspicion

Business Outlook
Pros
I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend a meaningful chapter of my career. Intelligent, mission-driven, low-ego colleagues, inspiring work, and many opportunities to learn and grow. It’s also one of the few places I’ve worked where you don’t have to trade off between enjoying the work, good compensation, and a healthy work-life balance. Even having been impacted by layoffs, I remain very grateful for the experience.
Cons
Increase volatility in recent years with restructuring. Hopefully things settle with clearer strategic direction in place.
Lots of smart people to work with and learn from.
Onsite office is great.
Cons
Leadership and middle management will do anything to make themselves look good to c-levels , will go as far as taking credit for work not done by them.
Every 3-4 months for years and prior to me working there, org goals change at a dime with no heads up and expectations are to perform excellently.
