Pros

Almost none, you have to be really stupid or crazy to want to work there. The company moves at the rate of a snail and if anyone wants to move it forward people stop you from doing so. Complacency becomes a way of life. My advice is run from this company, there are many other companies out there. Despite everything the company does make a lot of money just because of the nature of business. If you are semi retired and want to continue warming your bench this is the best place for you to work in. The company does have fairly liberal work from home policy.

Cons

Career Death, working here will make you lose your mind. This place is so slow and its processes so antiquated that it will drag you down with it. Play low class politics somehow is the way of life here. People stabbing each other's backs, being sweet on the surface and doing just the opposite. There are managers managing managers and so on. Layers and layers on inefficiency is all over this place. They take pride in moving as slow as possible. They waste tons of money because of really bad decisions. The idea of product strategy is to get together on a call with people and collect their opinion and that then becomes strategy. It is as if they don't want people thinking here.

Pros

Excellent launch point for a successful career in finance Opportunity for promotion GREAT colleagues Managers are amazing Meaningful professional development time: Schwab is huge and there are lots of departments you can have very successful careers in. There are coaches you can speak to for career guidance, and you are allocated a certain number of hours per quarter to explore/think about/develop your career. Good work life balance NO COLD CALLING

Cons

Inbound call center role with many different KPIs. It can be difficult to consistently meet all of them month over month, but if you do, you will be rewarded. You will be expected to put out fires for upset clients, which doesn't happen too often, but can be difficult. Licensing exams are usually a condition of employment depending on which call center you work in. The exams are not easy and some struggle to pass them.

Thanks for the balanced review. Growth and development remain priorities, and it is good to hear you have seen that firsthand. It’s great to see the support from managers, strong colleagues, and the career development resources making a difference. Client-facing roles can be demanding at times, and supporting employees with resources remains a focus. Feedback that highlights both strengths and gaps gives a more complete picture. We will make sure this input is shared through the right channels.

Cons

-2 year role commitment -Very corporate so might not let be your true self in the job with peers.
