Pros

A strong culture of respect, support, and kindness provides a foundation for every employee at Schwab. I appreciate the thoughtful way Schwab approaches all aspects of employee development and care. I feel like my manager is an advocate who thinks about and works to secure my future. Schwab ERGs allow me to be involved in things that matter to me, including supporting equity for Black and LGBTQ Americans. Schwab demonstrates the best of what corporate America can be.

Cons

Schwab is working towards more diversity at the executive committee level, but, objectively, it's not there yet. I would love to see Schwab further commit to environmental responsibility--and demand it of vendors (like the Schwab Cafe). There is some good effort there, but this is an opportunity to lead that aligns with Schwab's orientation toward planning and preparing for the future. I would like to see only organic gardening practices on site (no damaging herbicides or pesticides), re-use of our own composting, reliance on reusing dishes and silverware (removal of plastic options), and investing in renewable energy infrastructure (solar, wind, geothermal) on campuses.

Pros

-I did not know anything about finance, just had sales experience to my name and an open mind to learning and they took me in and tought me so much. -Benefits are top tier, from the basics to some that you didn't know they even existed. -They give you 8 hours a quarter for personal development. -Good pay without even including bonus or language add ons. -You will learn a LOT -

Cons

-2 year role commitment -Very corporate so might not let be your true self in the job with peers.

Pros

There are a few great managers here, but they are few and far between. Good amount of sick pay.

Cons

Underpaid for the role. Just another cog in the machine to get tasks done. If you don’t have seniority, but are being mistreated by individuals who are more senior, be ready to shoulder the blame for errors even if you are new. The lack of training is astounding, especially for some departments that are expanding. Lots of koolaid drinking. If you care about being kind and authentic, be careful which team you land with. Take your time during the interview process.
