Pros
Most people are cooperative and want to get things done.
Cons
There have been a lot of people promoted to the Director level in the past few years who really shouldn't be there. Many Directors have no idea how to lead, motivate, or inspire. There are a few good ones out there, but many are ineffective, insecure, incompetent control freaks who try to get things done by complaining, playing politics, and exercising authority. This may work in the short run, but is not sustainable. Executive management just announced a return to office mandate. Even though the last 3 years have been some of the most productive in the company's history, they evidently don't trust people to get things done without surveillance. Seems like it's more about ego and insecurity.. Being in the office is an oppressive and ineffective waste of time for those who don't need to feed their egos. According to executive leadership, employees who agreed to coming into the office weren't holding up their end of their agreements. So they knee jerked and punished everyone for it. Employees with remote agreements were lied to and rug pulled. Maybe they just want people to quit so they are better positioned for the next economic downturn. RTO to begin after the TDA acquisition work is complete - they probably can't afford to lose people before then. Feels a bit like a use people up and spit them out kind of thing.
