Pros

Beyond offering a competitive benefits package and professionally stimulating work opportunities, Chartis emphasizes the importance of giving back to the community, which is something very important to me. Through their formal Charitable Giving Program, Chartis donates $20 per hour for up to 20 annual volunteer hours per employee. They also encourage and support employee initiatives that benefit the local community including organizations such as the Arc of Northern VA, the Nature Generation, and Leadership Fairfax / George Mason Honors College Connects. Working for a community-minded company helps to bring together onsite and offsite employees where we can learn more about each other, the work we do at Chartis, and the community we live in.

Pros

The leadership and staff are very invested in employee growth, professionally and personally. The benefits are good. There's a diverse culture of employees

Cons

The contracts are siloed so there is not much interaction with co-workers who may not be on your project.

Pros

I really enjoyed working with this organization. I was at my previous job for 8+ years and was in a little bit of a rut. These guys reached out to me and created a new position in their organization as the creative lead. The senior management team was always supportive (almost to a fault) of all my ideas and plans. We got a lot of great work accomplished during my time there. Other Pros: - They have a knack for hiring good people - Great culture, In the spring and summertime they go out to a park and play baseball, basketball, tennis. They go to a Caps games, wineries and somehow always find their way to 4P's (Irish Bar underneath the office) every week. - Like I said above, senior management is very supportive of new ideas and are open to anyone in the company bringing it forward to them - Really enjoyed working with my boss Brian C. He was trusting, supportive, and knew when to push to get the best work out of me.

Cons

- The market that they are in didn't align with what I wanted to do, career-wise. - Nit-picking, but company-wide communication at times wasn't as transparent and synced up as I would have liked.
