Pros

1. Lots of snacks 2. Flexible work schedule. If you need to come in late for a doc appointment, it's easy to do. Nobody gets to the office until 10 anyway so you can sleep in a bit. 3. Good team bonding activities.

Cons

This company is a mess. 1. The company has HQ is Bejing. They constantly disagree or don't coordinate with the American offices and it makes it very difficult to get things done. They often think they understand American culture when they don't. 2. Your job can change very frequently without anyone even asking you if it's the direction you want to go in. I was hired for one thing, 3 months later was doing something else, then moved on to something different from that. I didn't even know what my job title was for the longest time. 3. They care more about the company making money than making a high quality product. Many times things would be done in Bejing and poorly translated when the app was updated and it made it look like our app was a joke. 4. If you work here in the US, understand that you will be working in a Chinese culture. It is very different from American work culture and you'll also have to deal with the time differences, which could mean very late meetings. Meetings also take a long time because you have to wait for everything to be translated back and forth between English and Chinese. Sometimes I would sit there and have no clue what was being talked about for 30 minutes. It felt like a waste of my time.

Pros

There are a lot of things that are really great about working for Cheetah Mobile. As you would expect from a truly global company, my colleagues are a very diverse group of people. These men and women come together from different backgrounds, speaking many languages, to help Cheetah Mobile succeed in making the world smarter. Honestly, everyone I work with is stellar. They feel like an extension of my family. We work hard, but we also have fun... and we're well compensated. Perks? Lots! We have a fully stocked kitchen, plus the company pays for our lunches every day. There are designated places to relax, or you can rejuvenate a little bit by playing ping pong, billiards, or foosball. Travel is another one of the amazing perks that Cheetah Mobile offers. Our second headquarters is in Beijing, plus we have many other offices around the world. Some teams also attend several events throughout the year, in the United States and internationally. Probably the best thing about working for Cheetah Mobile is being on the cutting edge of technology. AI is the future, and we have some incredibly smart people who are working on the next big AI innovations. I'm proud to be a part of that, and I'm excited to see what's next!

Cons

Everyone works hard, and sometimes meetings in different time zones extend past "normal" work hours. A few meetings are spoken entirely in Chinese, but there are several colleagues who work together to provide the translation. Getting to Palo Alto from San Francisco or San Jose can be time-consuming, especially with the steady increase in traffic. However, work hours are often flexible so that we can avoid the heavy morning and afternoon commute.
