Pros
You often do the same work everyday. So, you get proficient in knowing your way around the warehouse. You also get a raise for driving a forklift, order picker, or high reach.
Cons
You get the same point system as your co-workers who work on the ground. The demand for air drivers is high, so if there is ever overtime, you will never get out of it. Sometimes, they call overtime as a precaution. Then, everyone will show up and get sent home, except of course, air drivers, who will end up getting off their lifts to pick on the ground because they sent everyone else home. Then, they'll overhire ground pickers and they'll be sitting around for up to an hour on some occasions because the ground flow is so unbalanced with air flow. Because of the process that is set up, the ground pickers will just be making more work for air drivers, while taking long breaks, saving their PTO and points by being sent home and if you drive a forklift, you'll be condemned to running yourself right out the door.
